I didn’t really know what to call this section so I went with what came to mind, which came out as Other Useful Nuggets. The title is just that, but I want to have a section where I can take you behind the scenes and have an AMA, share personal things, or do a quick blog post. I don’t always want to churn out a 2000-5000 word post. Sometimes I just want to share my family vacation or what I am currently working on. It makes it a bit more personal when I can write some quick nuggets of information to share with you.

If you have something to ask me send it in to me at [email protected] and I will do my best to answer it in a quick post. Maybe you have an interest in knowing that I am learning Amazon AWS and other things like setting up Transmission on my Freenas server. Who knows, but there is one thing for sure…I want to share it with you.

This Marks the 100th Blog Post Milestone!

I made it! No, wait, we made it! After two years of re-committing myself to blogging I finally hit 100 posts. That's 100 original posts and not just content I brought over from another website. All of the content was based off of questions people had asked me in email or on social media. This made this project even better because it allowed me to dive deeper using my experience for someone who wanted it.The average post of mine is somewhere between

Local SEO & B2B Website Services In Angeles City

If you know and understand SEO then you will see by the title alone that I am tracking a specific phrase for our new transition (moving) here in Angeles City, Philippines. We are still in "hotel mode" but this time gives me something to chew on that I hadn't considered until I needed to search for a hotel. I had planned on only focusing on my 3 websites and not to search out for other opportunities...until now.I had planned on

Goodbye South Korea, Hello Philippines

It's time to say goodbye to 5 years of living in South Korea. This is where I completed the last quarter of my career serving in the Air Force. There was a visit in 1999 and two tours prior which gives me a grand total of 7 years & 6 months if my math is correct. My first trip was when I was a young airman in 1999, then as an non-commissioned officer in 2003-2004 & 2009-2010 and finally as a senior non-commissioned officer in

A Cool & Catchy Name For A Personal Blog

Name your blog before reading anything. Go ahead and do it right now! No, no, no...hold on, let's not do it that way. Some of the readers might be able to come up with the perfect name on the spot. Others will struggle with it for a long time and there is no right time to brainstorm. There is no expected time to come up with the perfect domain that all your readers will want to remember and visit. When

Meet My Dad, Guy W. Mulholland

Before we jump into it, I want to say upfront that this is certainly the abbreviated version for the blog. I intend to detail as much information as possible until I can't think of anymore memories to add. I am initially publishing this 3 years after his death on the day. I plan to detail the beginning until the split in a future update. Let's start from my most vivid memories. From the Split at 8 in 1986 I come

Convincing Friends & Family Your Passion Is Greater Than Money

I can answer this with a couple of personal stories that are relatable. Someone asked this a few months back on Quora and I wanted to expand on it more and have some fun going through some of the best times in my life. I am a lucky dude by all accounts, but I am surrounded by people who love structure, money, or have no clue on what they would do with freedom to do what they like. It's mind boggling to me,

Having To Choose Between Your Significant Other Or Your Job

This is a switch from some of the other topics I have covered, but still a great question from someone that clearly has a decision to make. Sometimes this happens and I know I have been here before as well. Relationships are hard and so is putting food on the table. I was listening to Joe Rogan's (JRE) podcast and there was a line that I appreciated in many ways. It was said as "100 years ago we didn't have

Retirement & Traveling Asia For the Near Future

If you have been reading a bit then you probably already know that we (my family & I) are preparing for a big move. I don't know where to yet, but I am retiring from the U.S. Air Force in a few months and we are going to the Philippines for a bit to do all of my VA paperwork. Making sure the healthcare is in order has to be priority one. It's a large move because of what the

What Is That Weird Traffic In My Google Analytics

Last year I was seeing garbage showing up in my analytics and I quickly started searching the web about what it could be.I looked at a couple websites that showed but they weren't linked to my websites. I sat scratching my head to what and why because this was completely new. There were no articles on this until a few days after I noticed (or I was unable to find them) the garbage referrers. I need clean numbers but this

Writing, Developing with Meteor & React

I wanted to bake my smaller posts into updates and this is the first one that I share what I am working on at the moment. Moment being defined as the next several weeks or so. Let's start with writing and work our way down a bit. If you haven't noticed, I have been writing a lot in the last week. I have been publishing almost 1 per day and I want to try to continue doing so for the

A Personal Confession to My Audience

I wanted to share something for those that read my content, listen to the podcasts, or watch my videos on YouTube. I haven't really shared this in detail before yesterday on my Facebook page, and have gone back and forth on how public I want to be. When connecting with people that I haven't communicated with in a long time it becomes awkward to reconnect because they think I have no interest in them, forgot about them, or something else

A Glimpse Into 2016 & Changes It Will Bring

Well, 2015 has come and gone and I have accomplished a lot, but not everything I had hoped for. I love setting big goals each year and then seeing what I had accomplished at the end. This year I spent a lot of time cultivating my brand and building several new ones at the same time. That's not going to change, but there are many things that are about to. I want to share some things that are going to

My Stay in Manila, Philippines This Summer

I had to save this post for last because we broke up our trip to Manila into two parts. We spent 4 days up front in the giant city near the Mall of Asia, and finally the last 2 days before going back to South Korea and ending our vacation. This was mostly because we have to go to a different terminal in order to fly domestically inside the Philippines. We don’t mind because it gives us a chance to

My Trip to Cebu, Mactan Island, and Tubod Flowing Waters Resort

The Cebu leg of the trip was supposed to be a bit more than it turned out to be. When I had originally purchased tickets for all of us to fly there, I wasn't predicting three low-pressure storms to be in the vicinity. I had hoped to see the Chocolate Hills in Bohol via landing in Cebu and then taking the Supercat ferry to the other island. The ocean was churning and trips were being cancelled in quick succession. A boat on the other

My Philippines Vacation to Albay

Not all my posts have to be business. In fact part of this blog is for us to get to know each other. I decided that I would share some of my vacation to Bicol, Philippines with everyone and give some insight on what we did in June. This part of our 3-part trip was to go home and see my wife’s family in their small village. It was an 11 day visit that I had dreaded at first because
