I am fucking tiredIt seems that sleeping for only 4-5 hours every night for months eventually catches up to you. This morning being no exception, I am tired. I know you are reading this and wondering how it is possible for someone like myself to need more than 1-2 hours per night, and I assure you that I am really fucking tired. I mean sleepy, not sick and tired of repeating something.

So how do I know I am tired and not grumpy? I get this feeling of frustration and droopy eyes for the first hour or so. Then I drink coffee or tea and the same result happens. Actually I drag ass around the house until I can think of something miserable I can write on 2kgs and if I can’t write anything I usually just curl up in a ball somewhere in the kitchen and cry. If that doesn’t work I surf for pornography and new brake pads for my car on Amazon. If all else fails I try to watch Nova until I can fall back asleep only to find out I can’t fall back asleep. I am not proud that I can’t sleep.

Could it be my diet? Netflix has been showing me a lot of documentaries about my diet lately. Perhaps it’s cancer from all the red meat I eat? Nah, cant be, I am too young and handsome for cancer. There is little doubt even cancer has a heart for guys like me. I suppose it could be diabetes. I did feel my feet get a little numb one time. Sometimes if I drink the night before I sleep like a champ, but I don’t necessarily enjoying drinking to sleep. Let’s face it, we enjoying drinking to get drunk and say stupid things we have to apologize for later.

Even writing this is actually making me more tired. I have tried surfing pornography while writing this and it’s not helping either. I should update my Facebook to something like “I am so tired, FML”, but I don’t want to look like a homosexual using a term like FML. The fact that I would even abbreviate “Fuck My Life” makes me uncomfortable just being around myself. I can only imagine this is how Rick Perry feels right now after learning that his ad sucks and he is a homosexual hater. Thinking about that, you might even think I am a homosexual hater because of my jokes. I want to ensure you that I am not. They are fun to make make jokes about just like straight people.

Did I tell anyone that I was tired while writing this? Before you say,”Yes asshole, go to bed already.” I should probably say your words can’t hurt me. Divorce hurts me, and even then, not much. Words are child’s play. So before you write me off, I will have a coffee and then I expect to do some writing here on this blog. Not because I want to, but because I know this blog is going to make me rich. Genius doesn’t come cheap, right?

I hate commercialsYes I know it’s been a while. I needed a break, a long break. I took a long hiatus to focus on what I wanted to be and I think I have found it. I built a few new blogs and honed in my writing a bit more. It’s now 12:19am and I am in a Super 8 hotel in NM. Before you ask if it could be worse, the answer is always yes. So to take out some tension and do what I do best I figured instead of staring at the white ceiling and white walls I would write a blog. I have been agitated all night trying to watch TV.

One thing you should know about me is that I have not had cable TV since I left GA in 2008. I hate cable TV and I hate that I have to pay for basic cable just to have internet since the package is cheaper than internet by itself. My silent protest is never hooking up the basic cable to my TV since I moved to Albuquerque. With that said, I have been trying to enjoy my TV tonight in the hotel room. There is one issue though, there is more ads than show. Now it seems that shows have 4-5 pauses for commercials and the commercials are some of the worst I have ever experienced.

I understand that advertisers need to be brought in to pay for the content and it’s my right to turn off the cable if I so choose, however, when is too many commercials? I am spoiled by Netflix. No commercials, and plenty of content for me to enjoy. I tried Hulu but I minus well just pay for cable since they are just loaded with unbearable commercials. I just can’t seem to win which is why I am borderline on cutting the cord completely.

Ads ruin everything and now that Youtube is injecting ads I tend to even use that site less. I don’t mind paying for a subscription, just drop the ads. I can’t be the only one that feels this way.

So this is my promise: I Adam Mulholland will never buy anything because an ad told me I should. You are wasting your advertising dollars. I promise never to brag on Facebook or Twitter about the awesome commercial I saw. I promise never to share thoughts about any commercial to any friends unless it’s referring to such a horrible job that was done in making it or how awful the product is, and this would have to happen during the actual play of the ad. I am done with ads on TV. I hope Youtube and Netflix destroys TV and I am forced to go forever without shows like Two and a Half Men, NCIS, Dancing with the Stars.

How are you enjoying your commercials?

Ok I have been watching the government doing their best to spend our money. This one is going to top anything I thought I would ever witness in my lifetime. I know those in Washington call the shots and they are all very educated but to me I feel like they are not connecting their intelligence to our goals. I get the big picture so don’t worry, I promise I am no fool. So with big numbers like a possible $850B stimulus package look at us in the face we are looking to bolster jobs, repair roads, up the anti on schools and education, and take on lots of domestic projects. As a non-democrat I still stand and applaud the efforts to jump start our domestic programs which has been missing for a long time. We have been a country of taking care of others before ourselves for far to long. (It’s a secret, I am actually starting to dig Obama a little…but don’t tell anyone.)

Ok but I want to make a point, with those staggering numbers why can’t each American receive say $5-10MIL each? Then the Democrats can raise taxes and slowly take it all back while we are spending and really jump starting the economy. For some reason they thought sending me $1200 was going to jumpstart and economy, that paid my rent for a month. Now if you give me $5MIL to spend I will jump start this local economy like it’s never been seen before. I wouldn’t even bitch in the least about adding to the federal gas tax, or not renewing the tax deals when they expire. Picture the things i could do with that kind of money. I could invest, spend, build, buy, and anything else I wanted to do. Those that blow everything will have no reason to complain, and those that saved and helped spur a successful jump in today’s America will forever be ok no matter which bank collapses. This sounds like a great idea, though I am well aware it will never happen.

I feel if we have all this money to print and hand out then let’s do it from the bottom up. Reality is they call it our money, but it’s not because God forbid they gave it back to us. They feel they have to spend it in a frenzy and without restraint. I know not every member of Congress is completely incompetent, but even now I question it. I think they should send out huge checks to everyone and let it funnel up the market. Record numbers of mortgages will be paid off which would solve the sub prime mortgage problem and foreclosures would stop. Banks would have a monster influx of cash deposits which would keep them from toppling. Things will happen very quickly if they infuse that kind of funding to the American population.

Just some food for thought. Tell me what you think…

I know my readers are just dying to hear what I did on Black Friday so I decided to write a little about my day to show my personal side a bit more. As I heard endless commercials through the week in preparation for Black Friday I waited anxiously for the day of unbelievable sales to smother me in a bank account draining passion. I thought about people stampeding me to get that extra 20% off on the hair dryer, and the deep discount on the plasma TV. I barely could sleep Thursday night, but this is mostly attributed to my knee aches and borderline restless leg syndrome.

So as I delved into a slumber by 2am I feverishly dreamed about what it would be like to get the extra 20-50% off of the things I don’t need. It took so long to think about it I finally woke up around 11am EST. Knowing that most of the sales have ended because of my failure to own a rooster to wake me before the crack of dawn I decided to prepare myself for the last portion of the Black Friday. So I went back to sleep for 20 more minutes till I finally awakened into a coffee craving mood. Finally by 4pm I decided to go buy myself a bandsaw and a sander at 10% off. I was lucky because there was only half a pallet left. Then it clicked, there is no construction going on in America right now. I could have actually taken a couple more weeks to get these items and still got 10% off.

Thinking the day was over my wonderful wife looked at me and said there was a sale. How could I ever turn her down so I did what any responsible husband would do and took her shopping. She wound up with a Coach handbag that made her smile beyond words. This is when I discovered that Black Friday was not about me, but her. So the moral of the story? Black Friday is a ridiculous commercial tradition, but my wife is more important than the things I find unimportant.

So onto Cyber Monday when I continue to surf the internet and use shopping as my excuse.

Lately I found myself watching infomercials more as the election is getting near. I figured if I was going to hear sales pitches all night I might as well hear it from a guy I actually want something from. That being said last night I was curled up comfortably in my bed watching TV and Shamwow came on. Holy shit! Vince is incredible. I wish I could hire him and send him into places I sell things to. I would make him wear that giant microphone everywhere he went even if it wasn’t even plugged in. That would actually just be part of the dress code: Polo shirt, slacks, and a giant black microphone that covers half your face.

Beyond the mic though is this shamme, I mean Shamwow that dries Olympic swimmers, cars, boats, RV’s, elephants, and even other Shawows. Everytime it comes on TV I seem to become glued to it. I start thinking about ways I could use it to go green. Like for instance if I lined my clothes dryer with them my clothes would be completely dry in like three revolutions. If that isn’t saving the planet then I don’t know what is. What if the military invested in this technology or even FEMA. The next flood for a hurricane we could carpet bomb the flooded area with these unquenchable towels and we could stop the billions in loses. This product has changed my life. I no longer need Kleenex’s to blow my nose, or my sleeve to wipe my tears on.

The only part I didn’t like was the last line in the sales pitch: beware of imitators. I mean what balls to be like the 5th one out the gate on a product like this and call out the previous four that were first. That’s like me inventing the hot dog right now and telling you to beware of Oscar Myer because they are imitators. It was mind boggling that they would even have to include this statement. I am obviously posting this to so Vince will read it and think about removing that line. I’m sure he will be by soon. So Vince, please don’t use the statement as it makes you look uninformed, but you at least have a nice mic.

I think the last thing I should cover is safety for these products. Since they didn’t cover them it’s only fair that I do. ShamWow’s should not be used for floatation devices, bandages, inside the mouth, or as a shock blanket. Safety first is the motto on this blog and remember, I am looking out for you. We have now adapted a new motto though effective immediatly, “Beware of immitators.”

Before buying this product we do suggest reading the Shamwow reviews.

Today’s music world is not like what many of us grew up with. We have moved from vinyl to 8 tracks then over to cassettes to finally come to a resting stop using CD’s. The music industry has enjoyed years of profits from a physical medium which music rides on. The difference in today’s world is they are at a loss with today’s digital world. Instead of embracing the digital world in which a majority of people are able to download from the internet they turn to another physical medium.

Today’s announcement of releasing albums on SanDisk memory cards couldn’t be further from reality of what really needs to be done. It’s said that you will be provided with ways to unlock music using a dongle and buy these 1GB memory cards at the same price of a current CD. These companies’s don’t get it. We don’t need more memory cards. Many people have plenty in which we download music onto them and have the ability to delete and replace with music we like. Why would any smart business person think this is going to be profitable?

They assume all these people who have devices that play a SD chip would want to buy 12-18 songs on a stick. I don’t know if many know this but on a 1GB chip you could potentially hold 300 songs. If they would just embrace today’s technology they could actually prosper. I don’t know one person that would even consider buying even one of these chips. Most of my friends use at the minimum of a 4GB memory stick. For $30 you could hold 1200 songs downloaded from Itunes or another source. This would mean you would have 1200 songs you want to listen to.

What is it going to take to show these music companies that they are always moving in the wrong direction? The digital age lends a hand to remove all the middlemen costs like distributors, vendors, production, and so on. They could be making so much money. Instead of suing all these people for $3,000 each they could build a killer site and cut out Apple and make more money than they ever have. Are they just lazy to run their own site? Are they just blind to technology? Either the music company is going to figure something out or they will just fade away to small entities of groups that sell their own music and learn how to cut out the middle man…the record companies.

This is in reference to this article.

You heard this Republican guy right, I finally found him. All this hoopla about change, a woman possibly being the President, or how McCain is too old and he slipped right by. I was enjoying my evening with Glenn Beck this evening (which I always enjoy). He did a full hour with Bob Barr on his evening show. He asked all the real questions and did a fantastic one on one. This guy is awesome, no I take that back. This guy is fucking awesome! Why do I say this? He is what I was looking for this whole time. I gave him a standing ovation at the end of the program, which I admit there was no reason to since I was alone. This guy deserves the big F’n awesome. That’s highly reserved though for someone special.

Ok I got the intro out of the way so let’s talk Bob Barr. Why does he get the highest rating of an F? He is a Libertarian. He is for reducing the government. He is for common sense and he has answers. If you don’t know about Bob Barr then you need to get to know him. You need to read his views and start comparing to what is being offered in our two mainstream parties currently. I don’t see change in Obama’s glitzy DNC, and I don’t see common sense in McCain’s approach. I have been researching, listening, talking, and trying to develop a plan of action for my vote in November. This is it folks. Americans really need to start doing some more research.

I can’t believe the media isn’t picking this guy up. He would stir things up and bust this wide open and show America we actually have a viable option. He is for setting term limits in all of government, he is for control of our national debt, and he is for taking real action in repairing America. I haven’t found anything I didn’t like this far but I am no fool and I won’t stop looking till I find the flaw. Look, the guy even has a moustache. That in itself is a bit bad ass.

So I know the ole saying “You are throwing your vote away not voting for Dems or Republicans”. Am I really? Perhaps I am sending a message with my vote saying I am one American that didn’t like either. Remember Ross Perot? He grabbed 20% of the American votes which was huge. I would love to see it creep even higher for a new third party. After seeing Obama’s huge party and the money spent on it I am certain that a party willing to blow money on an obvious announcement will continue to destroy our budget. Why have an acceptance speech for something he obviously wasn’t going to turn down? We will save that for another blog though.

If you want to send a message to the politician system and get a great candidate at the same time then please check Barr out. Other than just liking what he brings to the table I have no affiliation or am I part of his party. I want real change and smaller government. This seems like the ticket to be on for just that. It’s been a long time since we had a moustache in office and I think Bob Barr is the one to bring it in. I mean honestly when most of our issues stem from foriegn policy nothing says you mean business than a solid stache.

I had the luxury of reading that our congressional arm to include both the Congress and House of Representatives has hit an all time low of 12%. This is the lowest number in history for an institution. Yet, with speculation from our leaders there, the main reason for this low is the economy, high gas prices, and the war. I guess they skim over things like a steroid chase in major league sports. There seems to be no regard that the American public could care less about Roger Clemens and his testimony in Congress.

Perhaps our leaders have forgotten about real issues, perhaps they have forgotten about what makes America run, or perhaps they only care about their personal agendas. They get big thumbs down for not getting things done, and I mean real things. If they want to get their numbers up then they need to start talking about real politics. They need to start focusing about domestic issues and less on the war. The military is fighting the war and we don’t need our congressional arm to fight it from their chambers.

The war isn’t going to end till Iraq and other places can stand on their own. The economy is not going to fix itself with a $1,200 check from the government for each family. The housing market isn’t going to recoup with a government buyout plan. These folks we have elected need to stop wasting time and focus on real issues they can impact. They have it all wrong with global warming, carbon credits, interviewing big oil, and everything else. They could be less focused than they are today.

The biggest problem is with today’s internet and media coverage the American people are actually taking notice of the lack of work our wonderful representatives are actually doing. Most Americans I have come into contact with generally feel as if that whole section of government is nothing but a waste. They earmark the hell out of us, take extraordinary vacations, fly all over the world to shake hands with people they have no intention helping, and yet still give themselves large salaries and never ending retirement. To be honest the more I talk about their perks, the more I am thinking about running for a position so I better quit while I am ahead.

All in all I frankly believe even 12% is higher than what it really is. In 30 years of my life those pollsters haven’t called me. So who are they calling? I think America is down a long and wrong road that we will have trouble coming back from. We are looking at some of the worst possible candidates in American history, and no savior in the horizon. We are in some dark days of our history and it’s only started.

The Map of the U.S.Like the United States the west coast was discovered through the gold rush of 1849. There was promises of riches and desires to find something better. These pilgrims never would of known it, but they hit one of the gayest rocks ever known to man. Like kryptonite for the heterosexual the California landscapes has battered and beaten even some of the strongest wills known to man. California used to hang in a straight fashion before being inhabited by people. You see clearly in the picture that pre-1849 looks quite different than today’s spooning Nevada-look. Well today on May 15th, 2008 we learned Gay Marriage is good to go (which was no surprise by a long shot, they probably needed a couple years after MA to calm down from being pissed they weren’t the first). Those gay guys looked so happy on the court steps that I could imagine how they would celebrate their night in their arms rubbing chest hair…ohh now that’s special.

Everything CA brings to the table is either liberal or gay with almost little to blend itself into the rest of America. Don’t get me wrong, not everyone in CA is gay, but there is enough on TV, magazines, stereotypes, and in the news to make you think that the state will bend so much more till it’s a complete circle. It’s hard to believe this was even a court hearing at all and not just a few phones calls to say,”Ya, I’m fine with that.” I mean the surprise was to the point of being equal to Iowa calling me to tell me they are going to start farming corn. Either way I have no hog in this fight and take the stance that I wish a lot more men would get together so there’s less competition on the home front. It’s only the bi-sexuals I have a problem. Take a position and stick with it. I hate people that tetter totter.

As a man that pays another woman after divorce I do look forward to seeing one man pay alimony to another man or woman to woman. I do look forward to reading about judgments in divorce. I just think it’s nonsense to have these issues. I would rather see tax laws rewritten and health coverage for families change that see states change the way the human equipment is suppose to work. So to our politicians I thank you for being so stubborn that rather change the way we operate you would rather change the way people operate. The only thing now that California can do to make headline news in my book is to start digging a ditch around itself and pushing off to start a new country.

Is this anti-gay? No it’s not. It’s a different way to look at it as many Americans sit and read yahoo news thinking the same thing. I guess for me personally I am just tired of the “coming out of the closet speeches”, the crying becuase you know who you really are, the Will and Graces of America, and the in your face parades. If you want to be gay then do it, but really I am good without knowing or caring about it. You will never be remembered for being gay by myself and many Americans. I will never call it the alternative lifestyle, or the same-sex couple living down the road. You don’t see other states showboating nearly as much on subjects that don’t matter. This makes me wonder if they will even have to build a fence along that southern border now.

To the Californians that might see my point in all of this I thank you for having such an open mind to entertain this straight guys takes on the news that you received today. AlienGo ahead and do it! You are now free of the possible phone calls from the Vatican at Midnight while star gazing as of today when you even mumble that you believe in UFO’s or those pesky green Martians that continually probe our nation’s finest in areas that are less than desirable. So as of today I am going to tell everyone that I believe in aliens and I am going right to the nearest church to tell them I do as well. I will proceed to start drawing UFO pictures in the pews during the sermon and leave them everywhere. I mean hell, it’s a celebration now! I think the first picture I color will be my Priest holding my hand (with adult supervision of course) and me holding a Martian’s hand like a little family. Galileo and those persecuted in the past for thinking the sun was the center to today in which I have the freedom to think carbon actually inspired life elsewhere on a possible habitable planet in another galaxy. All I can say is damn am I so lucky to live in a free society where church is so forgiving.

So I am agnostic, and I found this revelation stunning that it would make even the Today Show with the off-beat and queer conversational pieces they provide metro America. I just wanted to drop everything and call the Pope and ask if everything was OK. I mean is it possible they found another book in the Bible where one of the Apostles were abducted, but sent back with an old wooden anal probe in his ass? This would be huge to have the Bible slightly bigger with an intriguing story like this! Go right from Psalms to Aliens? I bet if they threw this into that luscious book of stories it would go for some serious dollars (mostly because of the weakened dollar). I am actually surprised someone hasn’t come up with something to juice the Bible up to get profits going. I don’t think to date that book has made much money actually. If someone just stepped up to the plate like Lil Jon or Jessica Simpson and added like 26mm rims to it or a book on Sean Jean or maybe the Tomb of Maybelline that thing would really take off.

Ok enough about the off topic stuff. Let’s get onto the relevancy of church announcements like this. Honestly, did someone out there need this and finally when they heard the news just felt the weight of the world lifted off their shoulders? Did someone riding the subway in downtown Manhattan just shit themselves in excitement that they could come out of the closest about loving aliens? This is one of the most ridiculous news items in months. Maybe I am missing the point of it all and some of you find people will help enlighten me. Last time I checked I have a life and the freedom to believe in what I want to in the 21st century. Are there still people wandering around like robots saying, “Shhh, don’t let the Pope hear that!” This is ludicrous that someone would need to hear something like its OK to believe in life from other planets. I mean you already believe in something that doesn’t exist so at least so at least you fair the same odds as believing in something that most likely exist in the stars.

The difference between aliens and God is more people have possibly seen aliens than God unless God is referenced as a figment of life altering events. I agree that thousands of years ago this would have been something huge and needed to be announced on a global level today, but honestly after homosexuals appeared in society in droves and everyone embraced them I could care less about whatever else you might have to surprise me with. This world has no taboo for us anymore, and for the most part we can thank the porn industry for that. This is just not edgy stuff anymore and the church should just do what they do best, keep predicting the wrong date for the end of the world and pray. (And you guys thought I would say the kid joke)
