Fuel costs are high, and people don’t know what to do. We have our answers from our politicians and that’s either to stop taxing fuel through the summer or to get better gas mileage cars in the production. This is great but where is it going to help anyone in middle America? Of course everyone is up in arms, who wants to pay $60-$100 for a fill up? Who wants to spend the first 2 hours at work to pay for going to work? Who’s got two thumbs and answered not me to the first two questions? This guy.

So I can either save a few pennies per gallon or take out another loan for about $20K-$30K to buy a new vehicle and save money. These options sound completely insane to me. Why would I spend $20K on a new car just to save $1K-$5K on gas for a few years? This is the America I live in. We have no real answers or real solutions to real problems we face. Everyday I have the pleasure to read the junk that comes from our politicians. I am taxed, and of course re-taxed to buy thing. Why is my paycheck taxed so much? Why do Democrats want to raise taxes? Ahhh, I know…because everyone that makes these decisions make so much more than me.

The point of better gas mileage in cars will benefit me in about 6-7 years from now because in 2014 I will be shopping for a used 2010 hybrid. So in the meantime I will just smile when I am unloading $4 a gallon gas into my SUV. I won’t travel much, and I won’t go out of my way to go to friend’s houses or shop except on the internet. See with my thought process everyone can suffer in a giant circle. So if you run a brick and mortar business i am giving you fair warning to go and build a website. I never understood those people that run out and buy these brand new cars. What really gets me though is why would anyone buy a brand new car between 2006-2010? None of these cars are going to help you save gas. It won’t be till another couple years before they get good at making these vehicles so the benefits are still yet to come.

What is the solution? Honestly, there is none. We as American’s are subject to capitolism, and false fear on the stock market. Get used to it for at least five more years. Limit what you do unless you are rich and enjoy what you can. Reach out to friends that live close and enjoy what America has come to be.
